"Well-seasoned, like Gramma's cast iron..."

Steve Chambers has been cooking professionally for over 30 years. He has worked in diners, taquerias, pizza joints, sushi bars, night clubs and even with a major league sports team or two. He's been a caterer, a barback, a server, a DJ, a bouncer and a culinary mercenary on the Atlanta scene since before the '96 Olympics.

Nowadays, he has a very particular set of skills. Skills acquired over a very long career. Skills that make him a dream for lovers of delicious food, amazing events, and smooth operations; like you. His institutional rabble-rousing has carried him all over Atlanta; through ghosts of what were pillars of the local community; American Roadhouse, Harry & Sons, Everybody's Pizza and Club Kaya among others. He served as Executive Chef for the entire campus of Turner Broadcasting (Williams St./Adult Swim/Cartoon Network/Turner Studios) and BellSouth's old Executive Headquarters, The Campanile; as well as playing Head Chef to previously Decatur-based CCPGames North America, an international digital game developer.

All of this led to his tenure as Director of Food & Beverage Operations for the training facilities of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and MLS's Atlanta United, simultaneously. He established a legacy of developing & maintaining customized dynamic Food & Beverage programs for vastly different teams of elite professional athletes while satisfying their coaches, executives, and support staff. He watched with pride as each of those teams achieved the pinnacle of their individual competitive efforts, joining them at their respective Championship games during his time of stewardship. Quite a wild ride for a scrawny kid from the Appalachian foothills of East Tennessee...

He set his gramma's kitchen on fire at the age of four trying to cook breakfast for everyone...

He was opening new locations for franchise restaurants before he was 18 years old...

He once wrestled an alligator for a 10# of crawfish tail... maybe.

Sometimes he blogs about all this over at Playing with Food (just 'cause mama told me not to)., but admittedly, it's probably been a while...
